Re: Come on In If You're Online And Say Anything: Part III

Late summer grasses gone to seed
The willow sways gently in the wind
Soon the lake faces will be mirrored
The cold clutch will come and smother

Play whilst ye may, such dear hearts
Every year a step closer to the snuff
Love with hearts burning in grace
Eat from the bounty of nature’s joy

Remeber always you are here and gone

Mirth, I beckon you to the glades
Where shadow and light dance aeternal
In time, the sum of all that you know
Will Be Bliss

Namaste,
Ian

well, mirth all ye may because it is almost back to LOL time.

then, after all of the groovy squirrel watching it seems we have no dogs for days and she's sure its because of the squirrel food which no one even knows about it yet unless I had followers @ 6 am.

Hey, she's 87, she must be just cranky because we have no dogs.

I don't know everything.

and I have no clue what to slap in front of her tonight.

Those who have had the opportunity to have a grilled cheese that I have made would tell you that they are the best they have ever had.

But before they had the first one, each and every got their panties in a bunch because they thought I was making a production out of something simple.

Well, if you want to make something special, you need to not treat it casually. Also, cooking is a scientific process, even if it isn't thought about that way too often...you're trying to replicate results under controlled and specific conditions, after all.

And I have made many that were less than they could be...those were all learning experiences.

Maybe it sounds odd to be so proud of a grilled cheese. In truth, the satisfaction is 20% being able to achieve consistent results, and 80% witnessing the pleasure of others eating one I have made.

I don't think I've ever made one for myself...I couldn't be bothered, really. For me, the joy of cooking is cooking for other people.

I like making a grilled cheese with ham and tomato. That said, moisture removal and temperature equalization is of paramount importance.

For me, grilled cheese requires cast iron...nothing else is as good.

Synchronizing that point where the bread is golden and with a crispy edge on the outside, yet softer and yielding on the inside, and the cheese is just at the point of having flow...yes, the holy grail.

Bon Appétit,
Ian

I don't make a huge production out of grilled cheese sammies, but I do agree
that cast iron makes the best ones. I know, because I eat them. ;)

Home sweet home.

What a great view of the moon along the way.

I haven't been up this late in quite a while.

Got the sweetest little love hangover from my week spent with three highly imaginative and active youth.

May I be able to move about somewhat comfortably come morning.

Unprompted, yesterday my boss described me as a "passionate guy."

It feels good to be known.

Cheers,
Ian

Just came back from my first yoga class. I believe they call this version Guantanamo yoga. Pure torture. Some of those positions, if they would put me in them for half an hour I would be willing to confess anything they want to hear.

Immediately paid for 5 new classes and scheduled two for the coming week already. Otherwise I know how my mind works. It is very good in finding excuses not to go.

I get the same results from two cups of coffee that I achieved through adhd meds, maybe even better (also no noticeable side-effects).
