going nowhere fast
I haven't been on here for awhile. I just want to apologize to my wife. I did have some success in my life and I was able to provide for my family for many years. When the economy crashed. I went down the rabbit hole and I still have not recovered. That was 2008. It is now 2012! 4 1/2 years of misery. Well, we have sacrificed to just keep going on. Yes my ADD has and always will get in the way. What I have poured all of my energy into for work for the last two years just came to a screeching halt. We were expecting a huge payout for all of my efforts and work and we scraped by to make it happen. Well, the gubbermint just shut down my entire industry with the stroke of a pen! BAM! done. over. and my wife blames me and my add... oh brothers and sisters... I am now unemployed, no clue what to do. My wife is just plain tired, doesn't matter what is right or wrong or who's to blame.... and I just want to pack my **** and leave.
Other than that Mrs. Lincoln.... how was the play? I self medicate with coffee and I have no long term or short term strategy. I can point fingers but it is just worthless. Two years down the drain. It is hard to want to keep going forward with a new dream and vigor. I feel like a caged freaking animal. I am completely upside down and it just sucks. I AM SORRY! I AM SORRY! I AM SORRY! I DON'T HAVE ANY ANSWERS! |
Re: going nowhere fast
Just roll with the punches. In 2008 my employees went bankrupt, I was one of the lucky ones who found a job the next day after the doors shut. Granted the job paid much less, I sucked at it, and in the end I was fired. Lol. But between that holdover job and enemployment I scraped by.
Granted after it was all said and done, I found myself on a very deep rabbit hole (30k in debit), no future etc. but just when I was about to give up a new door opened for me. I have been with my current employer for 3years now, and while I still have debit to deal with, its getting smaller every day. Matter if fact I made the final payment in one if my credit cards last month. Best advice I could say is take every day as it comes, treat looking for a job as a job. Ie 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. While my focus issues got in the way at times, I just remind myself how boring things are at home. Lol. And remember, sometimes a door might close. So do the next best thing and crawl through a window. As it gets better |
