Have you ever been accused of being high?
 

I was always been a happy-go-lucky kid growing up and sometimes people would ask "Dude, are you high?".

If I knew then what I know now, I would have said "No, I'm not high, I have ADHD!". :D

Yes, but not in a good way . . .sometimes apparently I am *really* spacey and out of it.

Yep. Pretty much every drug in the book... I've been accused of being spacey more times than I can count...:doh:

Only when I'm not high....but they can't seem to tell when I ACTUALLY am high. (weird):confused:

Same here. I've been told you cant tell if Im on drugs or not.

It's so weird that drugs have an opposite effect on ADHDers that I googled "adhd is like being on drugs" and later "the opposite effect on people with adhd"... I like googling things to see what other people say about it (oh don't we all, lol). :P

More when I was younger, friends would call me permastoned, but often when I really was high people would think I was sober.

I've had it happen at restaurants. The waiter thought I must have been high how I was talking about the food.

Yes, many times. Usually I'm spaced out so people think I'm stoned. The most recent time however, I was having a manic episode. I was bouncing up and down on my heels and flailing my arms around and my boss said "What are you on!?!" me: "Nothing!!"

I've never been accused of being "high" on ADHD meds, though.

I used to be accused on a regular basis of being high or stoned. At one point, teachers were really concerned...

And I think many, many times after that, people may have thought I was high, but did not feel comfortable expressing this.

ADHD isn't like being on drugs, that's not the case at all.

I've never been high. But if somebody was to offer me some speed right now, I would take it. Just for the experience.

ALL THE TIME!If Iwas ever high id be normal,when i was a kid I was forced to take stims I told mother If I ever had tot ake em again I would abuse the chit out of them much to her dismay and she thought I was bluffing too.When I said it I wasnt kidding,unfortunately I have no dr who will give em to me and no illicit way of getting them so its just an afterthought now.
