Getting help finally

Today we managed to squeak in at Kaiser for intake with Conner. We spend 1.5 hours being interviewed and whatnot. Conner was in rare form. I don't think he ever stopped talking and his voice level never dropped below 400 decibels lol. The intake doc said he looked like a classic case of ADHD.

We have a few more evals to go through, but I feel so much better. She ruled out Bi-polar because of a lack of serious destruction (setting fires, trying to hurt/kill animals). So that was good, as I was a bit worried we may be heading that way.

I think there may be some ODD, but we'll see. Now my DH and I just need to get on the same page in regards to whether we medicate or not. But that's down the line.

Im really pleased that your getting support, doctors can be so hard to get help from at times. I have done meds for years with my son, sometimes it really helped.

Just had our second eval, and they've updated his dx to ADHD/ODD. I had a feeling ODD was playing a part, but wasn't sure how unbiased I was being. So they confirmed my suspicions on that. So it just keeps getting better, lmao.

But funny enough, I feel a weight being lifted. There is something going on with this poor kid, and its not just me being a bad parent.
