Does Anyone Else Do Choreography In Their Head To Music?

Some songs I can choreograph how I would dance to it on stage, even strip to it. Other songs I can choreograph how I'd sing it and perform it on stage. With other songs, like love songs, I can choreograph Last of The Mohicans scenarios where I'm seducing a woman and visualizing the entire moment from seeing them and kissing them to jumping their bones, all to music.

Anyone else have a crazy imagination to music like that where you get completely absorbed by songs?

Well, I do have a crazy and vivid imagination while listening to music, but rather than performing it I'll imagine either A. Scenes from my past only edited so that they go perfectly. or B. Things I wish would happen but probably won't. It's always very detailed though, think of it like those scenes in movies where music plays that's relevant to the mood of the scene.

Years ago, I lived in the Sonoma Valley....and there were a lot of swing dancers there....and I was taught how and became an addict .....my dearest friend in the world was a guy who usually was up on stage ...but occasionally he would come down off the stage and we would dance .....

people called us the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of C & W ......

He was killed in a motorcycle accident about 29 years ago ......

the first time I heard this song ....I went into my head and danced with George once again ....every now and then I listen to it so that we can dance again .....

it's the only time that has ever happened to me ....

Yeah, actually, all the time. It probably helps that I used to do both dance and theatre in high school, so it may relate to that. Though it did start before that but it possibly got more specific after I had more of an idea of what actual choreographing comprised of.

There are a lot of songs, that if the beat is really, really good I'll choreograph some moves to it. If I know the song really well, I might even think up a bit of costuming to go with it. On the other hand, if the lyrics are what really touch me, I might think up more of a 'story' to go with it, rather than dance.

Yes, all the time. I have nothing to do with dance or music but I imagine myself on stage signing or dancing, then I keep replaying the song. I have to be careful with music in the car as I get completely carried away and forget I´m driving.

I'm not gonna lie, but some music makes me imagine a kid spinning in circles, sort of like a stimming autistic kid (I might be autistic myself, who knows)
When I heard certain Christian music, sometimes I'm thinking of cartoons I've watched in my childhood. Part of it is because my mind notices similar musical notes to that of the theme songs of certain TV shows (my mind can see musical patterns).

Also certain music such as reggae or even indian music has me imagining some dudes shaking their pelvis.

I think this effect of seeing dance in your head while listening to music might be related to being a visual thinker.
It's because I'm a visual thinker, I often get distracted more by images in my head than what's actually going on around me.

Kasi! Exactly! I imagine sometimes what that genre of music would have me wearing, whether I'm dancing or singing. I imagine everything down to the last detail. I also sometimes create music videos in my mind with how they'd be directed and what sorts of cinematography I'd use with myself as the main character. I also edit music videos in my head and imagine how they could be improved and be more dramatic.

Sometimes I get obsessed with something I watch on television that relates to something I find extremely rare or unique, then I end up watching it again and again. I can get addicted to a song for weeks, or to a scene in a movie, or to a music video, and I play it to death.

I don't really choreograph in my head, but it does influence the moods and tones of my day dreams. :D
