chadd?

Does anyone on these forums belong to chadd? My doctor suggested the website as a resource, but I'm hesitant to join, mostly because of the membership fee.

I'm a student on a budget and I don't mind spending the cash if it's a sweet place to get ideas and whatnot, but I'd be sorely disappointed if the only information I find is recycled or available elsewhere free.

Also, are there decent forums? As active as these? I appreciate the day-to-day contact and support, so if that's not part of the package, Chadd may not be for me..

Anyway, just looking for some opinions/extra information.

Re: chadd?

I had a membership with CHADD but I wasn't able to renew my membership this past year because money was tight. I attend a local CHADD support group for parents of children with ADHD. You do not have to be a member to join a support group but the membership gives you a subscription to their magazine (every other month) and a portion of the fee goes to the local support group.

You can still access quite a bit of information without being a member. I don't know much about the forum group.

Go to the website and check it out at www.chadd.org

Re: chadd?

I looked at the site briefly this year but like you wasn't interested in paying the fee. I don't remember seeing much about their site I felt I needed to pay for. There is a lot of good information out there in books or sites like this one and I don't know what they have that I don't already have access to.

I'm glad I found this forum which is really all I was looking for in chadd.
