Ask yourself two questions:

1. Do you have trouble sustaining attention?
2. Do you fidget a lot or have trouble sitting still?

If you answered no to both, then that's a sign that ADHD is less likely. Although even then, people are complicated, so it's not definitive evidence that you don't have ADHD.

I agree, though, that it's hard to know what it feels like to have ADHD vs. what it feels like to be "normal" because all we know us what it feels like to be ourselves! Trying meds helped clarify this difference for me by showing me "oh, that's what it feels like to be able to ... [insert thing ADHD interferes with here]."
