Thank you for all the welcome messages! I've been desperately seeking other ADDers to talk with. I have felt so alone with this for so long. I've always been perceived by others as intelligent and full of energy but also a scatterbrain. Is that how other ADDers feel?
Sometimes I feel like I'm incredibly stupid - - I'm a Financial Advisor who one minute, is flawlessly allocating a wealthy client's investment portfolio and the next minute, I'm forgetting what that client's name is or what our last conversation was about!!!! Or I'm helping my teenager with his pre-calculous homework while at the same time, I'm completely forgetting to pick up my other son from his friend's house!!! Is this what life is like for all of you??!! The only Adult AD/HD support group I know of in my area (Milwaukee area) meets on a night that I can't make it. I was hoping this online forum could serve as sort of a support group. Have any of you ever started your own support group? If so, how can I start one of my own? I'm experienced at public speaking and facilitating events but where do I start?

Oops!
In regards to my last post: I mentioned my occupation while explaining some of my ADHD issues. I wasn't soliciting or anything - I just wanted to describe some of my daily struggles. I hope no one took that the wrong way. I'm still new to the forum, was that a no-no?
Alos, has anyone tried the ADDplanner software? If so, what do you think about it? I'm downloading right now.

HI there and welcome to the forums. I did the same thing when I first began. I posted a link and I was not yet allow to according to my title. Re read the guidelines . I went back to read them and found things I didnt catch the first or second time through. I was so excited to start posting and reading what people had to say. I re- read them every now and then again cause I was labeled LD as a child and have problems with comprehension.
Another hint is read the stickeys in every forum. They contain important information about the do's and dont's. have fun learning in the forum. exploring and learning is a vital part of life. read my signature and apply it to you situation ...wow what a message she gives us. I love Helen Keller. Okay I am rabbling Oops. :soapbox:
