I'm Conner, 16, and live in Virginia. I've been diagnosed with ADHD since I was eight years old. I used to be very hyper, and with the help of medication, I got through elementary school with some of the best marks. These days, I'm much more relaxed, although ADHD just completely wrecks my education when it matters most and is breeding a whole other mixture of problems, driving me right into the ground.

I've have been diagnosed with ADHD ever since I was 7 and it really makes it difficult for me to pay attention in school, especially to the teachers who overly-explain things (the ones who talk so much that you stop paying attention to them for a minute and then once you notice what you're doing, you start listening to them again and hope you didn't miss anything). And then, it really annoys me when they blame you for not listening if you ask them questions about what they said, because if they really wanted you to listen, they would learn how to stop over-explaining things.

Hai guaize, the name's Dmitri, I'm 16, just finished up 10th grade in Northeast Ohio, and got diagnosed with ADD [ADHD-PI] and dyslexia this january, up to that point I had a 1.8 GPA and was getting close to dropping outta school I started off with 27 mgs of Concerta, which helped a lot but wasn't enough, then got bumped up to 36 which worked really well but had crappy side effects, and now I'm on 40 mgs of porradge- I mean vyvance and that works jusssst right.

There's really no way I can say this without sounding like I'm bragging, but I go to one of the top-ranked schools in the nation and having ADD really sucks because of the immense workload and difficult classes x/ I'll survive, two more years. :P

Hi! I'm Bob, or at least that's what I get called. I'm 17 and I live in Brisbane, Australia. I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 6 and was medicated throughout primary school. I've stopped taking the meds and now I seem relatively normal, but I have issues connecting with other people, although there are a few friends I hold dear. I prefer myself off the meds anyway, because when I let my body control me and I let go of sensability, people tend to come to me! Looking forward to moving into the big bad world!

Junior year sucks. Senior year is pretty fun if you take lax classes.

Ryan here, from MA.
Almost 16, ADHD + LD since before kindergarten or so. (When I realized I should give a start date, I had no clue, its just forever in my memory)

I've gotten help from before starting school, but had a rough first few years (understatement). Private school (not good), then plopped into middle school "just to see how it would go". Did fine (emotionally), took until 8th grade to realize I need to actually put effort into school.
Currently in high school, going into my sophomore year, slightly on the outskirts of a geeky social group.

Been on Conserta for years (6+), just started Amantadine about 1 year ago.

Currently I'm just trying to learn more about myself.

Hello everyone! I'm Leah. I live in Maryland, I'm a sophomore, and I have been living with ADD all my life, but was left undiagnosed until the end of 6th grade for a number of reasons. I'm currently trying to find a medicine that does not impact my appetite to the point where I don't eat the entire day while on it, and I could really use some support in the ADD world! It's hard to cope when your friends don't think it's an actual disorder D:
