Re: Question about my first psychiatrist visit -- Adult ADHD

Self-medicating is pretty common with ADD, but if you're doing it with someone else's prescriptions or an illegal substance, you've broken a law that has a direct connection with a psychiatrist's profession and obligations, so you need to think very hard about whether it's going to come up in your discussions with your doctor.

Re: Question about my first psychiatrist visit -- Adult ADHD

OPINIONS as to whether someone has ADHD or not is just that, an opinion. As a reminder, we can not diagnose anyone in this forum. Don't forget that symptoms do vary per individual meaning some have certain symptoms and some may not; that doesn't mean they do or do not have ADHD. It's best to leave the diagnosis to the professionals.
