No copy and paste from word??

Why on earth can't I copy and paste a longer post from my office word?? It keeps telling me I have to many images?? Except I have none that I'm aware of. No images, no bracketed BB code, no smilies. I am freakin confused right now.

I got it to go through but it still twisted up the way I had it formatted. I did the smilies off...

It might be that its copying formatting codes? Word docs are full of codes that you dont see when reading the text. If you want to be sure perhaps copying from a .txt or .rtf file is a safer bet

What you must do is post it on the forums, go back to every place where you hit "enter" in word hit "backspace" and re-hit "enter"

I just wrote an article on word and it took me nearly an hour to figure out how to fix it.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but the solution is simple. Don't use Word - use Notepad instead (or whatever Notepad-like program you have) if you prefer to use a separate program to do your writing. Word inserts unnecessary code that you can't see. That code isn't harmful at all, it just gets in your way and messes up your post.

If you want a few words bold, italic, coloured etc it is easier to fix those after pasting into the web browser. If you want lots of bolds, italics, colours, sizes, then you are just making your post hard to read anyway and it's better to leave them out. Write words, not fonts.
