Do you ever feel like the world is moving too slowly?

Lately I've had this strange adrenaline kind of feeling that may or may not be the ADD. It's this sensation of the world moving too slowly, of my mind moving too fast and wanting instant gratification of things (like instantaneous replies to emails and such). Does anybody else have this sensation ever? Is there anything you do to slow yourself down a bit?

Re: Do you ever feel like the world is moving too slowly?

I always had this something chronic pre-medication, and i've never heard anyone else talk about it.

Minutes would feel like hours when i was awaiting a post/email/im and i'd feel like the world had stopped whilst i was still catapulting forward, waiting to get to the next thing...

On meds i get a similar feeling, but it's now coupled with patience and a more stable sense of time. I can wait and not feel my mind rocketing forth, so to speak.

I also, in contrast, used to find that after this weird slowing of time, a sudden spike that made a whole hour disappear...

Sorry, i don't know how to help it, really, other than meds(for me).

But i do think i know what you are talking about.

My only suggestion would be to break up the pattern- try to have something to do when this happens to help regulate your time.

Eg. I make a cup of tea, check whats on tv later, have a shower, etc to try to get time to start moving again, albeit slowly.

I feel the opposite.. the world is moving too fast; there's so much I both need and want to do and so little time.

Impatience is not a virtue, guaranteed. I've felt like both,to fast to slow. Breathing helps, focus on breathing, concerntrate on self,if possible. Come to the forums, someone is always bound to reply. I know the feeling of i need answers and i need them, then not now.

Re: Do you ever feel like the world is moving too slowly?

Its both too fast and too slow for me. Daily life is quite difficult to keep up with and its an everyday struggle.
But when I want something to happen or want something to change the world often seems to be moving at a glacial pace. My mind makes these big leaps and everything else fails to catch up fast enough for me.
