Day 1 on adderal

I just got dx a few weeks ago and saw my primary care guy yesterday... He did not really wanna do any scripts until I saw a "qualified" psychiatrist. He seems to have no respect for anyone without board certification lol...

Anyway, Itold him I would schedule a real shrink but wanted to try adderal after what I have read heard from folks... He gave me 30 pills of 10 mg ir. I took one today for the first time. That was like 3 hours ago and I guess I don't know what I expected.m I did not feel much of anything?

Low dose, over anxious, over expectation, etc? What do you feel, I read you have more focus, concentration etc, I did not write a paper or anything lol...

Anyhow, just curious what to expect and if 10mg was enough to expect anything...

Yes, 10 mg once a day, in the am.... Again, this dude did not have his heart into this, he made it sound like everyone in my area gets a dx for this so they can get the amphetamines. He did not flat out accuse or deny me something but he wasn't going to give me more than 30 days of 10mg.

He was kinda an *** about it really.

I would look around for a new doctor if possible.

I have three herniated discs in my back and my PCP wrote me a script for Lorcet, then berated me for 10 minutes about how I'm gonna get hooked and end up crashing my car into some poor old lady. After that, I found a new doctor.

I like this dude for my other issues, he is an internal medicine guy and I have diabetes and some other stuff going on. That's why I wanted to work this drug with him, but that's not going to happen. Called a few phychiatrists who can do meds today, hope to find a good one who also takes my ins...

10mg once a day is very very low. You will probably need a higher dose.

Saw my family couselor again tonight. SHe agreed that 10mg was not going to last all day. I am going to take 10 more at around 1 tomorrow. It has felt good the last 2 dasys, but definitly wears off. Today at 2:00 or so I was back to staring at the screen and getting nothing finished.

some people, like myself do better on dosing 3x a day or an xr/ir combo.
