Multipage posts

Does anybody tend to shy away from threads with multiple pages? I feel like if I don't catch a thread when it's just one page it's gonna take so long to read through the pages and I just avoid them half the time. It's really frustrating to me.

Yah , it can be hard work to read through a thread , just remember that you only have so much attentional fuel/gas in your fuel/gas tank .Non ADHD people have a full tank each day, we only get a quarter of that if even ,so we have to learn how to use what we have wisely ? So be careful what and whom you expend/use your fuel/gas on, if that makes sense ? Pick and chose what you do with it otherwise you will find yourself even more scattered .

Re: Multipage posts

Nah, I just read the OP and reply. Sometimes I don't even completely read the OP.

Re: Multipage posts

How many posts do you have set per page?

I think the forum default it 15. I have mine set for 40. Maybe that will help?

User CP -> edit options -> Thread display options -> Number of posts per page

Re: Multipage posts

I often read though quickly, picking up words or phrases I'm drawn to. Then I may start again and read the whole post. Often though, I get past the 2nd or third word and skip the re......... Just zoned out for a bit there............. I'm back in the room!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Multipage posts

... Only if I'm really interested in the topic of the thread.

Then I will read until I start to zone out and will switch to another thread or activity, and come back to it later to read some more.

Re: Multipage posts

It doesn't bother me, but I skip around and usually focus on the first and last few pages... unless a topic really interests me.

this is what i tend to do also. Some times i'll just read the title, then jump in there, boo, suprise. . .and everyone just carries on regardless depending on how relevant my trolling was. I agree with op also.

Re: Multipage posts

It really depends on my mood and my interest in the subject, although sometimes even if I am interested I'll ignore the thread altogether if I'm feeling like my brain can't handle it. Other times, I'll scroll and read through each page.
