What is wrong with me? >.<

It seems like my list of problems is ever growing and changing so lets see where to start. The thing on my mind as of late is that in short moments I feel completely okay and ready to go but then a truck drives by or the air conditioner turns off, something like that. Point is I always end up back to feeling like I am just trying to survive. This is probably the best I have explained it thus far but every time I go to the doctor I can never explain myself. I think this is enough to get the post started.

Sorry I couldn't find the edit button so I'll double post. What I wanted to say is that this whole time I have been trying to get a diagnoses but all I got were maybes so far because of my lack of knowledge and generally failing to explain, remember, or even figure out my problems. It kind've feels like the tip of the iceberg now with me in figuring out what all exactly is wrong.. I also have pretty much all of the symptoms from the adult adhd WebMD page. I will list them if you want.

Welcome, no need to list them seriously we all know them very well. I know it can be difficult getting a diagnosis. i think you need to go to a psychiatrist who specializes in adhd. It will cost but you're wasting a lot of time the way you're going.

Yes, just trying to survive sounds like how I feel a lot of the time.

What are more ways to generalize the feelings of ADHD like just surviving?

I don't know, but with someone who specializes you won't have to worry about that, they'll ask the questions and do the tests.

Everyone experiences this differently; the actual symptoms and severity of the symptoms differ with each person also.

Ginniebean is right - a knowledgeable professional trained in ADD/ADHD will know what to look for and what questions to ask.

Listing your specific symptoms will help. What difficulties hinder you the most? What things do you do (or neglect to do) that seem to cause the most trouble? Have you been having these difficulties since childhood, or did they just start recently?

Write down exactly what "just surviving" means specifically to your situation.

I don't really think it's possible to "generalize" ADD/ADHD.

Here is a common screening tool for adult ADHD. You could print it out and take it with you when visiting your doctor.

http://www.hcp.med.harvard.edu/ncs/f...-ASRS-v1-1.pdf

There are a bunch of other symptoms not covered by this questionnaire, but this could get you started explaining your problems.
