Re: "I know what you're thinking, but I REALLY DID walk into a door!"

I smack into doors all the time. especially glass ones. it's been far more embarrassing the times I've smacked my face on a window thinking it was open. that always leaves a mark. it'll shock **** out of any witnesses, too. less so me at this point.

Re: "I know what you're thinking, but I REALLY DID walk into a door!"

I once broke a toe by walking into a closet door. A sliding closet door.

Miscellaneous bruises where I a) bang my arm on a door frame/doorknob and/or b) whack my thighs or calves on tables or bed frames of varying heights, are more common.

Graceful? Not I!

Hope you manage to avoid the shiner!

Re: "I know what you're thinking, but I REALLY DID walk into a door!"

At one point my living room was so full of stuff, I was having to take LARGE steps to make it from one clear space to another .....missed the clear space, tripped and fell landing with my forehead smack on a small anvil ( don't ask !)

turns out you don't have to get punched in the eye to get 2 big shiners.....apparently falling on an anvil will do it ......

try telling people you got the black eyes from falling on an anvil in your living room ! ....

This is why for the past couple decades, the screen on my grandparents' sliding balcony doors has sported a band-aid.

Of course, I think a cute sticker could serve the same purpose more aesthetically, but whatever works, I guess.

Re: "I know what you're thinking, but I REALLY DID walk into a door!"

i have a tendency to hit my knee or hip against a table or my parents' bed (my brother and i always take over their room since they have a huge tv). or hitting my arm/shoulder against door frames, which always hurts.

i think i did walk into a door once, and it sucked!
