Will it Get Better? - Adderall Side Effects

Hey guys, I just started a daily 30 MG Adderall XR a couple of weeks ago. The benefits and improvements have been great, but as you know, some of the side effects can be pretty bad. Here are a few of mine, from your experience can you offer any advice?

• Moderate Insomnia
  Mood Swings (highs and lows)
  Hunger Suppressed (I don't mind this one)
  Touchy Digestive System
  Insane and Lucid Dreams
  Increased Anxiety over little issues
  Blurred Vision

Go down, I started adderal not long ago, and I am stuck at a crazy low dosage of 5 mg xr

I know i need to get on atleast 10, with an ir in there.

It sounds like your dose is to high

I'm just on day 6 of Adderall starting on 10 mg. I think that is too much to start out on?

To explain, I started on 10, then went to 20 and just moved to 30 because the others weren't doing anything. I'm also 6'5" and 300 pounds.

I also took Concerta for a while and it just made me feel like crap.

How are you doing now on the Adderall?

I've been on it just a few months, and the side effects haven't completely gone away. Some days are better than others.

I take 20mg XR and 5mg IR at the same time and I'm good for 6-8hours. Sometimes I need to drink a cup of coffee to give the adderall a kick. You might want to consider a lower dose + some other med. Talk to your doc.

Hey guys, I'm starting to do better. There are good and bad days, it's crazy how the medicine differs from day to day. The toughest part is still coming down. After that 8-10 hour mark, I sometimes feel drained. I'm very unproductive in the evenings now.

Yeah I know how you feel I just started adderall last week and I agree some days are better than others. The real crappy thing for me is that I do online school and work full time so I really can't do my homework until night when I'm coming down from my adderall.

From my experience, all my past side effects lessens with time. The only one I am still seeing is headaches if I don't get enough water and a reduced apatite. Just yesterday I found myself eating "dinner" at 130 pm. And not having another meal the rest if the day. I did have a small snack at 10pm just before bed though.

This is my third month on 20mg addreall xr

Er....yeah...I concur. It's standard protocol to start a patient at the lowest dosage of a stimulant and then increase gradually (5 mg. at a time).
