When Was The Best Time Of Your Life?

I'm currently reflecting my time living in the inner western suburbs of Sydney, it was 2007 I was 27 years old and 77 kilos, my days were filled with listening to Michael Jackson music, hanging out at the local library, hanging out at the local cemetery, studying all kinds of different drugs at a course, walking around the neighbourhood barefoot at 4am in the morning because I couldn't sleep, making friends with the neighbourhood cats, living on the worst diet possible and not putting on weight, obsessing over sexually transmitted infections and how they affect people, talking to ZB online and trying to crack onto him...mind you it was mutual at one point (or at least it looked like that to me) and battling a serious health condition all while living in almost complete solitude and enjoying it...When was the best time in YOUR life??

For me the best time of my life essentially started when I joined ADDF. No, I am not joking around.
This place made my world so much bigger in so many different ways. Here I met many of the very best people I know, among whom also the one I still consider the love of my life.
I also learned a lot here that I never could have imagined before and which rather changed my outlook on life.

Aged 14 with my group of misfit dropout friends. We came from all different types of background, some came from very privileged wealthy backgrounds and others, just normal. We looked crazy,scared the hell out of the locals, were loud and loved to skip school and party. Some took drugs (I like to be in control so never did). It was a time when everything was new and exciting, experiences stuff for the first time.

It was the best time but I would never do it again. Every little thing is such a big deal when you´re young. We were so intense and downright depressing sometimes. And music and seeing live bands was the best. There is something about live music that makes me feel alive.

when i had been expelled from school and put on a programme at a community college (full supported by learning disability advisors) doing art and design i had a whale of a time being with the other adhd kids and met my best friend who had adhd h/i....we got into a lot of trouble but ive never felt so carefree or accepted in my life since

i haven't had the best go of things for awhile now, depsite there being the odd week or month here and there and i did enjoy running around, going to shows in my teens/twenties, especially...etc and so forth...but there's always been something crushing taking place or something ...like...like more recently iceland was fantastic, but then also the only way to cope with overwqhelming loss was to keep moving, so kinda disheartening at the same time. so i'm hoping the best time...is yet to come.

the births of each of my children
The time I fell head over heals in love with someone and the world seemed like it stood still when we were together
The joy of sharing music and song with the boys and staff at work and it felt like a community event
The goofy smile of my favorite boy at work when I sing to him
The words I am sorry please forgive me from a friend who wronged me
The words I forgive you from a friend that I have wronged

These are some of the best times of my life....

Right now. Finally I understand better who I am and why I am the way I am. Even after 50+ years I am still very much a work in progress but at least there is some direction. In childhood I was always saying and doing things that got me in trouble and often had no clue how to change so I would not have those things happen. It was a very lonesome place. Change is still a struggle but at least now there is some understanding of myself and I have a more clear direction if I want to change. I'm also married to a very understanding, smart, sweet woman who likes me just as I am but is also tolerant of change. So I consider myself very lucky.

Oh far ands away my 20s...living in the Sonoma Valley, in a town of 400 called Glen Ellen, going into San Franscico to art school, hanging with a LOT of musicains ...lots of them literally world class.....going out swing dancing several times a month, growing a veggie garden, my kitties and beloved German Shepard.....living a a whimsical ramshakle cottage,

sewi my own clothes, going out with a bunch of different guys ....

and music, everywhere there was music .....most of it made by my friends .....

and taking photographs .....the camera went everywhere with me ...landscapes and bands .....

I knew how lucky I was .....and appreciated every moment .....savored the times I lived in ....

the world ? ...who knew? no TV, no radio in my old black Mercedes .....
