looked up an old girlfriend
Just feel like sharing this. I have to tell someone, and an anonymous forum is probably the best place.
I was curious about my long-ago ex-girlfriend and I did what so many people do. I looked her up online. Took me a while, but one thing led to another and it became a challenge. I was able to piece together some information about her. I couldn't find any pictures of her, that's one thing that would have been nice to see. How did she age over the past 21 years? Haven't seen her since June of 1991. It was a good thing to look her up. I'm glad I did. The first time we broke up it was her decision, then she wanted to get back together, then I broke up with her and never saw her again. Turns out she was arrested for public drunkenness in 2008. Then arrested for fighting in 2009, and actually spent a few weeks in the county jail. Some guy bailed her out (good luck, buddy!), and eventually the case was closed. I'm glad she's still alive. She was messed up, still is, I guess. It wouldn't have surprised me if she had ended up dead somehow. I guess I made the right decision. Fighting? A 40-something year old woman? Arrested for fighting? Wow. Am I glad I saw the writing on the wall when I said, "We have to talk...."

I got no exes to look up, cuz I got no exes.

Me and my ex are still friends. It was more of a mutual break up though, we were just going different directions.

Found my first girlfriend. Facebook friended her -- she doesn't know it's me. Did so using my 'alternate' Facebook profile. Anyway I am living in a city far from where she met me -- oh and I have a different name now.
It appears that life hasn't been very good for her alas. That theatrical spirit of hers was eventually diagnosed as bipolar disorder. That and the years have taken their toll.

Hmm more like mutual tolerance. Alas poor reality testing works much better in the movies where it is portrayed as "quirky", in real life it becomes merely annoying.
