Re: Reminders - I GIVE UP!!!
Reminders don't work for me - but alarms do. I was explaining this to husband the other day as we spent a weekday together and we hardly ever do that when the kids are at school. At different times of the day, different alarms go off. Finally he asked me, 'What on earth do you need all of those alarms for?"
Me: "Well, the one that goes off at 1pm is to remind me that - if I've been doing other stuff like cleaning or garden work - if I haven't showered, then its time to do that. The one that just went off at 2pm reminds me that I have children, and they will need picked up in an hour from school - and one will go off in half an hour to let me know that it's time to leave the house to go get the older one."
Husband: "You have an alarm to remind you you have children?"
Me: "Well, if I don't let them out of my head I can't get anything else done... and then I have to put them back in there or I'll forget all about picking them up from school."
Husband: "Are you sure 1 psychologist and 1 psychiatrist are enough for you??"
You do what you have to do - but only so many things will fit in my head at one time. I like my google calendar a lot - but it's the alarm system on my phone that saves my sanity.
