They're not entirely separate, they're just two different forms of reasoning. There needs to be a balance, too much of either one is just bad.

I LOVE PHARMACOLOGY! It's interesting learning how eating a chemical can cure diseases, change how you feel/think. I've read countless books, articles, research essays, and etc. on it. If you have an interest in it too or want to have a discussion about it, I'm open to it.

Re: Logic ??????

I just don't explain anything to anyone. Just the completed parts.
That's my logic.
If it works people do not question your questionable methods.

Does that sound familiar? Yes

Can you avoid using odd fonts, it makes answering your posts a pain.

Do NTers experience this? I don't know, I am not an NTers. They probably do
sometimes

I don't think it can get much clearer than what is stated in the OP... it's really just personal experience, not a set logic-type.

or what seems to be a random jump from point A to point K .....makes sense to me because I have all the steps in my head, but they are unspoken ....and most people can't seem to get how I do that ....

...In my own way, I think that I make sense and am pretty logical, but I bet you could find a lot of people who would take issue with that statement .....

,.....Some people, bless 'em, can jump with me .....and some people understand after I tell them why I did something ....but some folks just look at me as if I have lost my mind .....( and they did this before I was diagnosed too, so it's not just the prejudice against someone with ADHD)

....I wonder if NTers run into that problem ? Do you ?
Happens to me all the time, and it's generally the other person whose logic is faulty.

This is because so many "regular" people employ what I think of as "shallow logic." They rely on conventional wisdom ir "the way things have always been done" to tell them what makes sense. You might say that to them, it's logical to go with the crowd. To me, that's not logical. I may end up deciding that the way things have always been done IS the most logical after all - but only after I have reasoned through it myself and found that to be the case based on my own judgment. It's been proven that I have a highly logical mind, so any suggestion by an NT type that my logic is strange or flawed generally lacks any power to make me feel bad about myself.

Re: Logic ??????

I'm not very logical, rarely io things in a "logical" order

or for example I have to take a hot pan off the stove and instead of making room for it on the table and moving stuff away from the little hot pad thing first (what is that called..?) I am standing there perplexed with a skillet and my husband is like, what are you doing??? then he moves the stuff over and I say "wow you're a genius!" & he says "I know!" (this is a long running joke, not nasty). But then sometimes I really annoy him with stuff like that.

but I have a lot of intuition so I can solve problems differently.

I just wish people (in general) wouldn"t be practically insulted by my non-logical process. Personally I'm open to suggestions so they just couldn't be nicer about things?
