That is a big one for me as well, my canned food cupboard looks like a supermarket shelf, otherwise...I start making something for supper thinking I have all the stuff...but don't....or end up with 28 of something because I keep thinking I don't have it!

But even worse is when people just HAVE to make fun of me for it, or mess with it JUST to annoy me (usually the same people who get frustrated when I am not organized...go figure!).

Ticking clocks, dripping faucets, people who "click" their pens constantly...I am completely incapable of ignoring these things once I hear them. It is literally torture for me... and yet, I can be quite oblivious at other times and not even notice them...which apparently drives the people around me crazy (usually the same ones who say "can't you hear that?" then get annoyed when I am going insane because NOW I do hear it and its making me crazy! Thanks, thanks a lot! lol)

I tend to drive, move, speak and think very quickly so slooooowwwww people drive me insane!! I can't keep my mind on what you are saying if you take too long to say it!

My ADHD.

People who share strong political or moral opinions unsolicited, especially by bumper sticker; I have to resist the urge to slash their tires just to teach them there are consequences for being brazenly outspoken.

Losing points on a math question for not showing my work despite a correct answer.

Firefly and Better Off Ted were canceled prematurely.

Breath of Fire has not had a sequel for a decade.

Re: Things that seem to really bother you?

Really liking this site its amazing how much every person with adhd has in common with everyday things and yet theres still people who dont believe there is such a thing,.that really bothers me stop making excuses you just have to try harder and focus more and you can do it. I just want to punch them in the face you really think we want this disorder and pretty much have to be dependent on meds just to make it through our daily lives. So insulting but they never realize it.

*calling any business, particularly the cell phone company, when they've F'd up your bill!

* The fact that 3 Doors Down made it onto the classic rock radio station. Sorry if anyone likes them, but what a horrid band, and hardly classic rock. Classic rock to me is Pink Floyd, Queen, Styx, Fleetwood Mac, etc.

*ear buds, of any kind, for any music playing system. They never ever fit correctly, they fall out, and sometimes the hard plastic ones hurt my ear cartilage.

*Movies with loud sound effects and quiet dialogue

Re: Things that seem to really bother you?

ha ha I am really enjoying this post, my main things are
screaming kids (even though I have 2 they never screamed in public) (much!!)
people talking loudly on their mobile phones in the library or quiet places, like they are so important
big companies that can΄t use their f***ing common sense, I mean if it΄s not on their pathetic little script it can΄t be done. What happened to common sense.

I have a case with a big internet selling company where I paid for something second hand and the seller emailed me to say that it was broken so she wouldn΄t be sending it and would refund me.

Well two weeks later no refund so I try to open a case, but oh no I have to give her a chance to send the item. They had a copy of her email to me, I mean what part of "I΄m not going to send the item it΄s broken" leads them to believe that she is going to send it?

People that touch my dogs after asking "does it bite" and me saying "yes he might, so please don΄t touch him".

canned laughter. once I become aware of it I can΄t stop focusing on it.

Agreed! Even more so, I haaate when an exchange goes something like this:

"What's wrong?"
"Ehh, just kinda down 'cause I lost my job."
"Oh, I don't know what to tell you." (Or "Sorry, can't help ya there.")

...Uhhh... I wasn't asking for advice or help. I would've said "Nothing," but I answered 'cause I thought you might be offering a listening ear. "I hope your situation improves" would have sufficed.

Aaaand...

People...
  • Who don't know when to shut up when I am clearly focusing on something that requires my undivided attention! (Which, let's face it, is a rarity.) And this is coming from Ms. Loudmouth Motormouth herself. But I know how to take a hint.
  • (Men) who can't take a hint. Actually, no... not taking a hint is one thing. Those who ignore my straightforward rejections. It's disrespectful and borderline predatory....
  • Who tell me "You need to dye your hair again!" No, I don't. That's the exact opposite of what I need to do. I dyed it "bloody raspberry" red last year, and I'm purposely not dying it so that I can finally go back to my natural blonde. The only way to break this hair dying cycle is by not dying it anymore....
  • Who can dish it... but can't take it.
And some random stuff, such as...
  • Sleeping with my hair down.
  • My bare knees touching when I'm sleeping. In the summer, when I'm wearing shorts and I don't need a blanket, well, I still need to at least put a sheet in between my knees.
  • Wearing a bra, the second I get in the house. (Unless there's company. )

LOL @ the first sentence. And... I'm strangely curious what those stars mean. I am sitting here trying to decipher them....

"Roll with the punches" is good advice, though... or better yet, stop contacting her entirely. Deleting messages combined with "only speaking when spoken to" sounds like a roundabout way of saying "I'm not interested." I can't tell you exactly what you might be doing to adversely affect your chances at getting dates but... that's because I don't know enough about you. I can understand why you'd be ****** off, though, because a friend should know you a little bit better, and therefore able to give you some insight on that. I can tell you that being persistent won't pique a woman's interest if she isn't already interested; it will make it worse, if anything. Besides, it's a waste of your time.

...just to keep this on-topic...

It bothers me when people are so CONFIDENT that they are right about something... and when you try to (politely) tell them that they are wrong and provide them with the correct information, they roar with laughter. Then, when you prove them wrong (at this point, not so nicely because they just mocked and belittled you), they either get ****** OFF, or they say, "Oh, whatever, why are you making a big deal out of it? Who cares?"
