When I reopen ADDF after a while, it says I do not have "permission"

Steps to reproduce:

Close all addforums.com tabs. Do not use it for a few hours. Then go to addforums.com in a new tab.

Errant behavior:

It says I do not have "permission" to access the page I am trying to access. It says my account may have been disabled. I did not copy the whole message, I can copy it if necessary.

Work-around:

Log out, and then log back in. It works fine then.

What is going on? Is this a known bug?

Setup:

Firefox 22.0
Mac OS X 10.8.4

Thanks.

Re: When I reopen ADDF after a while, it says I do not have "permission"

When I get this message, I just log back in and it works fine.

Also, for profile pics and avatars it always tells me the upload failed, yet when I go to my profile page the pics are there.

Re: When I reopen ADDF after a while, it says I do not have "permission"

You can get this just as easily by going to the main website:

http://www.addforums.com/

Clicking on any links from the homepage will give you a Not Found error. New Posts, for example:

http://www.addforums.com/search.php?do=getnew

However, if you add 'forums/' after 'addforums.com/' (or the link you are given from the forums), the link will work:

http://www.addforums.com/forums/search.php?do=getnew

I've had this problem since I made an account here. It's not a problem once you're in the forums and the links work properly, but it's kind of annoying when I clear my cookies and all that.

Nachons for the win!

Yes, this is a known, long-term, not-going-to-be-fixed-for-the-foreseeable-future bug on the site.

See this sticky from Andrew the Admin for more information: http://www.addforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103068

Re: When I reopen ADDF after a while, it says I do not have "permission"

Whenever I visit "addforums.com/", I first click "Gallery" or "Arcade" and then "New Posts," because if I do not, then come the error messages.

Funny that I just noticed this post, because I also just bookmarked the "Gallery" page so I could bypass that extra click.
