Anyone have luck with strattera?

Hi there,

I am looking for anyone who can give me their experiences with strattera. My son is 6 and he tried biphentin which is in the same family as ritalin but is longer lasting and we didn't find it helped as he was too emotional and crashed hard on it. So now we are trying strattera.. it takes weeks for this to take effect.
I am not hearing much on strattera, but it doesn't seem to be the more common meds.

Re: Anyone have luck with strattera?

Hey there, I hope the advice you get is relevant to youngens.

I had 3 months really good response, after the few weeks titration.

Really get him to know its OK to feel crap, to tell you and to rest for a bit. This is during phase in or perhaps brief daily bouts.

Anything more is a concern.

The thing is, without trying to scare you. It can the trigger / catalyse rage / anger... In brief bouts .... Not always.... But potentially....

Something to watch out for and be prepped to handle.

Peace and good luck with it.....
