Question Just a General Question Regarding Forum Managemant

How come they don't have a seperate section for Focalin like they do other ADD meds?

(I'm just curious, don't mean to be rude or nasty about it. If I am, sorry...)

Generally, med sections have been set up when there has been a significant amount of interest shown for that med.

Thumbs up Oh I didn't know that.

How come the co-condition med section isn't divided up by med then or type of med?

Is it for the same reason?

"Generally?"

The word "generally" means "usually," or "by and large."

I just did a search here and noticed that there are 211 threads that involve Focalin at this site. Granted not everyone of those threads is about Focalin per se, but it seems to me that there is a "significant" amount more interest in Focalin than some of the other meds that are already in the medication forum, and some of those meds are not even FDA approved to treat ADHD.

Here is how some of the other meds in the med forum rank up when compared to Focalin:

Nopramine..........1 thread

Tofranil..............24 threads

Cylert.................68 threads

Focalin................211 threads

I am not trying to offend Andrew, or any of the admins, but I am curious why there is not a simple answer to what appears to be straight forward questions concerning why some drugs are in the medications forum, and why some are not. Especially the ones that are FDA approved for treating this condition, I would think it would be a no brainer to include those there. Like I said, I am not trying to offend any admin here, and I am sorry if this is taken personally, as it is certainlly not meant in that way at all.

Is it a group decision (among the admins) to include certain meds in that forum Andrew? If that is the case, I know how difficult it can be to get people together for group meetings, as everyone has things going on in their lives. I would hope that if it is a group decision that at the next meeting you guys & gals would vote on including all the FDA approved meds in the medications forum.

Lars, I'll say this one last time...your request has been noted. When and if administration decides to act upon it, the sub forum will or will not be created, as the case may be. Period.
