Hi! I'm a 20 years old girl with undiagnosed ADHD. To make a long story short i was misdiagnosed when i was 18. According to the psychologists i don't have adhd, i'm just stupid. IQ between 70-90. They also said i have dyslexia?!?! Who can have dyslexia and learn how to read and write at the age of four? How they came up with that, i don't know, cause i did well on the reading test..

Now i'm going to ask my doctor for a new adhd-test. Hope it turns out better this time

Heh, I can tell you aren't stupid. 70 is pretty low. Sounds to me like that doc just didn't like you. I think many people will tend to get mad at ADHDrs because the symptoms are not always consistent. Forget that guy if that's what he said to you.

Besides, if he thinks you have dyslexia, then how the hell can he say you have a 70 IQ? The criteria for dyslexia is that your reading comprehension falls far below your measured intelligence. Can one with 70 IQ even read in the first place?

You might have dyslexia and have a hard time distinguishing or comprehending words, but I seriously doubt you have a 70 IQ. I think that doc is probably dumber then you ever were. I can't stand when doctors treat people this way... there is just no excuse for it. They took an oath to do no harm after all... grr

Get a second opinion... In fact, wait till the new doc diagnoses you with whatever. Then tell him what the first doc said. I'll bet he'll have some choice words about that doctor, lol.
