The threat that really hits home
I went to my shrink...

....Thinking...I quit smoking ciggerrettes 2 months ago...whatever...I thought....same as usual...in and out.

My blood pressure has been fine, I checked...not great....but OK...154/68

....I have white coat syndrome....when i see him coming with that BP cuff...my head damn near explodes

.......I gained like 15 lbs from not smoking...and I have'nt taken my BP pills in a week...DUH

I did'nt even have a soda before I went...the last adderrall I took was for work at 4am yesterday!

........this was 9am today...

My****ingbloodpressure was 185/110!!! .....he turned white as a sheet!

He said, IF HE DID'NT SEE A CHANGE IN ONE WEEK....AND I DID'NT START EATING RIGHT
......HE'S TAKING ME OFF ADHD MEDS. *screams*

He is having my mom monitor my BP EVERYDAY TILL MONDAY.
.........AND I BETTER not look bloated like elvis, and have stroke level high blood pressure.

I went to the pharmacy to get BP pills...
...and my damn blood pressure was back to 152/68...15 minutes later.

he read it 3 times and it was like i was on meth.

...I even took a valium.

wtf?
....I'm doing a better job at killing me than I thought.

I'm also killing my mother...and that worries me.

..so, I rode my bike to a salad bar...and I'm starving.

Get a home BP monitoring kit, and measure yourself (you can get them around $50). Let your doctor know you're monitoring yourself and that your high result was anxiety from seeing him etc.

Personally though, I'm surprised on you're meds for 154/68.

I got my hypertension for free at the local shelter.

Don't be too alarmed...that has happened to me before,too.
It sucks taking one more med,but seems worth it for me.

The lower number (systolic?) is the most important one,and below 80 is good.
Don't starve yourself!

Mine was through the roof 170/90 when all the sh*t was going down with my former partners last summer. I exercised like a madwoman to control the anxiety and lowered my BP as a bonus.
