I am not sure about this one.....check with your pharmacist. It could be that this time of year there is so much illness so it would be hard to tell.

Re: concerta and non allergic rhinitus

Hi Hollywood,

I have an allergy to dust mite. It only flared up for the first time at the beginning of this year.

When I failed miserably in my job despite my best efforts I went to a psychiatrist. He looked into my history, as I was diagnosed with ADD as a child. He confirmed I still have it.

I started on dexamphetamine, which aggrevated my allergy. So I changed to ritalin.

The solution for me in terms of allergy was to find out what I was actually allergic to, and try to minimize contact with it. The G.P.'s tests came up with nothing. I was then referred to a specialist who confirmed it was dust mite with a skin prick test.

So for me cleaning the house and getting regular allergy shots has helped with my allergy. My advice is to find out exactly what it is you are allergic to and if you can avoid it do so. If not try minimize contact. If minimizing contact does not work well, then get allergy shots.

I hope I have helped!
