Re: Feedback Needed for my Evaluation of an ADD-man's Behaviour

I do not remember, what I had told her exactly, but I had made the point, that whatever loss of money she has for not renting a room to a regular customer, would be paid to her. I did not expect her to let him use a substandard room, and then get additional profit out of this. True friendship implies trust and being trustworthy. What shocked me, was her lack of trust, asking payment in advance, not trusting me that I would take care of not taking advantage of her. And taking advantage of who was to be my future partner. I had expected that he would perceive this.
I expected a lot too much. From somebody with so many personal issues it was even more too much than from someone less problematic

It does seems like you are a women of many, many expectations. The thing about expectations is that they set us up for disapointment. The world does not go the way we want it to, or expect it to.

Not entirely true. You might want to go back and read the guidelines that govern this board. In my opinion, you have come perilously close to overstepping some of those boundaries in many of your responses. My opinion and, as I do not moderate this forum, I left it alone.

This isn't a "public" board per se. It is a place for people with ADHD and those who love us and live with us.

Never forget. "Normal" is just a setting on the washing machine.
Do you really want to be a setting on the washing machine?
If you do, wouldn't you rather be the spin cycle?

Sweetheart... You just answered every single question you have asked of us.

But even though this is an ADD forum, I like to get a better understanding for the cultural difference.
Wrong place, wrong forum.

Quote:
In which country and culture would that woman have behaved in an appropriate way and could still be considered a true friend?
In which country and culture would her behaviour be perceived as outrageous, as a break of the value of friendship?
We have answered your questions with honest answers. You have skipped over our honesty and redirected 'your' thread with unrelated questions. You haven't answered any of our questions.

What is it your looking for? What do you want?

Re: Feedback Needed for my Evaluation of an ADD-man's Behaviour

Resuming:

I came here, because a relationship had ended without closure and after dysfunctional communication.

I started one thread in the NON-ADD Partner Support section. My goal was to scrutinize, how and how much the combination of ADD, cultural differences, maybe Asperger and narcissism had contributed to the problem.

I learned a lot of what I needed to know. I accepted advice, when it was convincing. I might have more question, and I will ask them.

I have been polite, courteous, civilized and I intend to stick to it.

For now, in the interest of peace this topic is closed. Upon review, and letting time pass for tempers to cool it may be reopened. If you have questions about this, PM me, or Andrew (as admin).

Sam: I had a crappy guidance councilor.
