Fibro Flare

So I've had my first fibro flare to take me out of work for a day. Not fun. But I'm not sure what caused it.

My question is has anyone figured out what causes a flare for them? I've read it can be food, stress, environment, exertion, etc. They say to keep a journal to figure it out but I really don't want to document my entire life until another one happens. Could it really be as simple as pushing too hard in a yoga class? (which I've been out of since it started and I know i'll have to ease my way back in) Or something I ate?

Does anyone know what causes theirs?

Re: Fibro Flare

I don't think any food or drink has ever triggered a fibro flare for me.

Things I remember being a trigger are falling or getting injured,
and getting overheated. But I've had heat exhaustion twice.
So that might not trigger someone who isn't heat-sensitive.

Allergies may trigger a flare. I avoid perfume and air freshener like the plague.

Some say over-doing triggers a flare.

I've seen that there's a facebook forum for fibro sufferers.
I'm already on one for degenerative disk pain and migraine pain,
maybe later I'll check it out.

Re: Fibro Flare

For me

Food triggers
Chemical exposure
Too much stress
Over activity
Sleep deprivation

Keep a diary and it becomes easier to track. Had a major flare last year caused by the chemicals my husband bought to clean his bike.

I cannot have alcohol or cheese.

Re: Fibro Flare

Yes! I've been sleeping better so I forgot sleep deprivation. Very true.
