Rhodiola Rosea

Hi, I just read a bunch of good things about Rhodiola Rosea, it's supposed to help with energy, etc., etc. and I was wondering whether anyone here is using it to a good effect or has had a negative experience. Thanks!

Re: Rhodiola Rosea

I tried it. It didn't help me--made me feel worse. There is some interesting research showing it may be useful, but if I remember correctly, it helped with energy and anxiety, etc., not for ADHD specifically.

Thanks bookwurm2! Too bad it didn't help you, in fact made you feel worse.

Re: Rhodiola Rosea

Yesterday evening i took my first 500 mg rhodiola extract pill. It made me sleepy, drowsy. I didn't feel any good effect like motivation or concentration rise. Maybe the dosage was too high for me.

Re: Rhodiola Rosea

I never thought of taking Rhodiola rosea for concentration, nor have I ever taken it in the evening (unless I'm going out), as I consider it mildly activating.

I do sometimes take it mid-morning or later in the day when I can see I will want to be sociable, or more "on" than usual. Like most botanicals, I doubt I would notice any effect if I took it every day.
