That's awesome It's great that it was a fun and insightful trip for you!

No professional has ever been able to teach me this. They take one look at me and they know straight away why people aren't comfortable around me. It's not something they can fix, so they simply dismiss me.

Sorry there was typo in my response.

It's got nothing to do with how i'm feeling inside. People make negative judgements about me the second they look at me, while knowing absolutely nothing else about me. I can't do anything to change that.

I have difficulty believing that every person you've ever met had such an
instantaneous negative reaction.

This may be an example of "distorted thinking."

Have they actually said in so many words that they think you're not worth
knowing?

Or do you just assume that's what they're thinking?

Well this happens to me with literally every person outside my family circle. It's not distorted thinking, it happens, quite literally.

Nobody sends me "come over and talk to me" signals. Just "I hope he hasn't noticed me" signals.

I understand almost 4 years now, since I lost my mom

yet for a split second this morning, I thought that I "really should tell my mom how beautiful my friend looks" when i call tonight ( friend is almost 8 mo. pregnant and nevertheless walks into restaurant like a movie star; i looked like a small whale - we used to laugh about how she always looked stunning in all circumstances).

Yes but do you realize how many people are uncomfortable with eye contact? And not just anxiety sufferers. You are taking something where you have no idea what another person is thinking and projecting and applying your own logic and opinion to it. And no matter what you say about what others think of you you just do not really know.

I'm not worth the energy for lifting the finger for. Sudden complete and utter dismisal is the best I can hope for.
