DHEA??? Should I try it?

I have ADD and not taking any meds I heard low testosterone can make a person feel fatique/ difficult to concentrate etc. My testosterone level was 650 in january, I had it checked because of my significant decrease in sex drive. I am 20 years old. I just had another blood test and awaiting results. Thats the only number my doctor gave me then. Isn't that a little low for my age? I was thinking of trying DHEA, the lowest dose to see if I noticed a difference I am just afraid of side effects. What do you guys think???

Re: DHEA??? Should I try it?

I asked my doc to test some blood parameters of me last week. I tested b12, magnesium, testosterone and dhea-so4. My blood dhea-s04 is 160 ug/dl (reference: 167.9-591.9). So my dhea level is low and other parameters are in normal range. I've not talked to my doc yet about results.

Re: DHEA??? Should I try it?

That's the total testosterone what you got tested. But that doesn't really say anything really. You can have low total test, but very little bound to SHBG, then your free test would be through the roof. It's also a bit of snapshot. Mine test dramatically low the first time, then perfectly fine the 3 tests after that.

Regardless of that, DHEA is so cheap that you can try it and see what happens. Dit nothing noticeable for me.

Re: DHEA??? Should I try it?

My total testosterone is 26,12 (reference:4,94-32,01).
Can shbg be tested or measured? How can i know about my shbg?
How was your testosterone and dhea levels?
What did you used for treatment? Did you take steroid drugs?
