Thinking on switching to Adderall

Any one here switched from Ritalin Ir to Adderall Ir? I'm using Ritalin IR for about 10 months straight, every day, but the problem is that tolerance is growing fast. started with 15mg per single dose, now I'm on 30mg per single dose. Every 2-3 weeks I need to add 2.5 mg. 90mg total dosage a day is probably the limit so next time I need to up the dose to 32.5 per each dose, I won't have enough Ritalin for 3 times a day, only 2.
Thinking on switching to Adderall, have no idea how it will feel or will it be fresh start as far as tolerance. looking for advice from people that used both Ritalin IR and Adderall.

Re: Thinking on switching to Adderall

I tried Ritalin and it made me sleepy and grouchy, Adderall worked better for me. My psychiatrist said usually one or the other drug works for each person.

If it's tolerance you are worried about, I don't think there is a difference between Ritalin and Adderall on that.

Re: Thinking on switching to Adderall

Ritalin gave me horrible mood swings although I am convinced thats due to the bipolar. I have been on amphetamines for like 13 or 14 years.

Re: Thinking on switching to Adderall

The question is will there be cross tolerance? I mean adderall does more stuff Ritalin is reuptake inhibitor and adderall forces release of more dopamine.
Ritalin causes fatigue when the body developes tolerance, when inceasing the dose it works again.
