A couple of questions...

I have got a couple of basic questions for everyone here.

How long have you been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD or...
How long have you know that you have ADD or ADHD or...
Any other conditions?
Medication, yes or no.
Which medication?
How much?

Any other questions?

Re: A couple of questions...

Diagnosed 2.5 years ago.

Suspected for about 4 years thst I might have it.

Also have depression and anxiety on and off. Diagnosed with bp 2 but don't think I have it.

Used to take dexamphetamine (25mg a day) but stopped when I got pregnant (well a bit before that)

Re: A couple of questions...

Diagnosed in December. Had no idea that I had it (thought all my issues were the result of some as-yet-undetermined personality disorder or just me being a lazy jerk), although in retrospect it makes perfect sense. Don't know of any other conditions outside of the ones that just kind of come with living with a mental condition that you thought was a character flaw for 40+ years. Currently taking Ritalin, 2x20mg per day (I think that's the dosage; my psych actually gave me 3x20mg but I usually only need 2 unless I have to do something in the evening).

Isn't "a couple" usually two? (not six)

You know till I was about 20 or so I didn't know that a couple meant two (unless it concerned 2 people..). I always thought it meant a few and I used it as such...

Apparently some people do use it to mean "a few" or up to five, just a small number.
I didn't know that.

- I was diagnosed with ADHD in March 2012 almost right after my 14 year-old son was diagnosed -- he was 9 back then. I knew very little about ADD/ADHD back then so I got on the internet to learn more and realized I had the same symptoms as my son when I was a kid and that I fit the ADHD adult symptoms as well so I went to a doctor and got my own diagnosis.

- I also have been diagnosed with severe GAD, mild depression and have Bipolar tendencies.

- I take Adderall XR (30mg) for ADHD, and Paxil (30mg) and Klonopin (.5mg/twice daily) and Risperdal (1mg) for everything else. I also take 75mg of Trazodone for insomnia.

Re: A couple of questions...

Oh, I forgot to mention that I have mild to moderate OCD as well. Bad genes I guess. My kids and their kids are going to hate me later on. It's a curse.

I thought that these questions are brought up a lot.
And it would be helpfully to have a little archive of info so I do not have to ask you the same question a multiple times.
