Have you talked to a doctor about depression, and maybe taking an antidepressant?
This just sounds so familar.

Not one of my finer moments. I got a major haircut on Sunday and destroyed the evidence. Much rather have people believe it didn’t happen than post a photo and prove I’m an idiot.

Do tell about the hair eating vacuum. Got pics? Flowbee mishap?

I haven't. I'm need all my wits about me to deal with it. Once I do I might be okay. I got into a study - like a clinical trial testing treatments for childhood trauma. It should help me but it will also be for the greater good. Once the study is complete they will better be able to determine what is the best treatment for ptsd. I was so stressed coz I was trying to force myself to remember stuff my brain doesn't want to. I understand now why I can't remember it all. In some ways not being able to remember it all has revealed the answer.

I think that was the root of my depression as well. As well as my hubby not
being understanding of what had happened to me as a child and how it was
continuing to affect me. I sometimes wish I'd been able to forget. I don't know
if that would have been better, but one always wonders about the other side
of the coin I guess.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

Ya probably get sick n tired n bored w me like everyone else seemingly does n then I get kicked to the curb.good luck on the puppy. Believe it or not I heard extasy / acid was being used in trials for PTSD.not sure how true this is..over hear those are outlawed drugs..it just sucks having no one to talk to who at least seems genuine anymore now I know how elderly people feel when people shake their heads all fake at them n treat them like they have no time or effort for them..really sad

It's called repressed thoughts and smells sounds etc can trigger part or all of the memories being brought back..the brain forgets these bad memories as a way of protecting itself

Problem is not remembering doesn't mean it doesn't affect you it just means it affects you and you have no idea why. These things should never happen in the first place.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part V

Mom's been gone 2 years now.
Don't really want to talk about it. Don't want people's sympathy or hugs or anything.
Not even sure why I'm typing it out.

It's been a rough month.
