Restless Leg Syndrome

I recently read where if you have rest leg syndrome you have a higher probabilty of having adhd. I did not know that. I did notice however, that since I have been taking adderall, it seems to have helped it.

Re: Restless Leg Syndrome

I didn't know that either. Hmm. I have RLS. I don't take meds for it but I could. lol Before my Husband started working nights he used to get up and sleep on the couch sometimes because he couldn't stand my legs shaking anymore. I shake them everytime I sit down too. It annoys me sometimes.

Re: Restless Leg Syndrome

I have the old restless legs issue. It is SUCH a pain. Man, I have cried at night many times, just DESPERATE to sleep, unable to stop the kicking kicking KICKING.

I actually had trouble with an increase in restless leg activity a few weeks into taking Adderall -- there was a decrease while my brain enjoyed all that extra dopamine action, and then a bad backlash. Once I added L-Tyrosine into my routine, that stopped. I also take a magnesium supplement, which also helps.

Re: Restless Leg Syndrome

I have RLS (mild). My dad has it (much more severe), as does his brother (again, mild).

Since being diagnosed with anxiety I have been taking Klonopin daily, and it's helped with this, so I always put it down an anxiety symptom.

Interesting tho, because since I've been acquainted with ADHD, I've suspected that Dad is an undiagnosed ADHDer. And since the condition IS genetic, I must have got it from somewhere. Anxiety and Depression also run in his side of the family.

Mum has some SCT like symptoms... tho' that could be AGE.. can't really remember from when she was younger...

An interesting post!
Thanks for sharing
