Wonky Days

Been living with ADD since I was a kid. I'm 30 now. I have my good days and bad days.

Other day went out to eat with my aunt. The place was new and noisy and I totally fritzed out. I guess sensory overload? I felt like I was aware of everything and I just stood there like a moron in line.

My aunt said we could go somewhere quieter, but I didn't want too.

I HATE feeling like that. I get that at my job sometimes too. There's so much noise and people are everywhere and I want to scream.

I have days where nothing is wrong, my head feels full of fog and I'm in a bad mood for no reason.

Anyone else feel this way?

Re: Wonky Days

Yes, absolutely!
The other side of this, is how absolutely beautiful things are on the good days.

Re: Wonky Days

So is this just us or the ADD? I dug out one of my old books, and yeah the chapter on emotional roller coasters sums it up.

I have no idea how to prepare for a bad day or not

Re: Wonky Days

I'm in the same exact boat.

Mood swings with no apparent reason either.

I also have days where it feels like the meds don't seem to be working...

Part of it is life, and part of it is just forcing ourselves to get to the other side.

It's definitely frustrating though.
