Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part III

I am so bummed. The autimmune Arthitis is so annoying. I keep dropping stuff as if I have no grip or at least no consistent grip. I just dropped a beautiful large pyrex glass bowl full of pasta salad and the whole thing shattered. Pyrex is supposed to be shatter resistant but I guess having the whole bowel crashing down makes that impossible. It was a pretty one I use to bring stuff to picnics not to mention the now glass filled pasta salad. I swept and then had to run the very loud sweeper vac.
Plus my daughter is getting over strep throat and caught my husbands cold and is coughing so much she is vomiting. Its driving me nuts even though its not her fault. I am hoping at the doctor they give her that cough syrup with codeine cause that used to work when she was little. also the OTC decongestants are a waste of time. Sorry about the whining.

Sorry? No no! You and your family are going through a lot right now and the last thing you should feel is ashamed for coming to talk about it!

(((Sweets)))

Your poor kid /sigh. I HATE coughing so hard you start dry heaving and gagging. Use to happen when I was a smoker. Man...I sure don't miss that!

And sorry about the bowl. I've always enjoyed pyrex branded cookware and measuring cups...I'm surprised the darn bowl actually broke. I always thought that stuff was pretty much bullet proof! lol

Anyhow, the app is messed up right now...and when I try to call people, I can hear them...but they can't hear me. Also...there's a delay when they call me...so they try and call me, but I wont know that they called until several minutes after the fact.

Hoping they get these issues patched up and fixed here soon.

That sounds so frustrating. The bowl, the effort that has gone into making thr pasta. I'm sorry. I'd be upset too.

Hope thr husband and your daughter will recover soon.

I had the same pain and gripping problems and was diagnosed with the same when I was taking Klonopin. It was awful. It went away when I quit taking it.

It does if you add some frozen peas to it. lol My best friend's mom is still finding a stray pea and shard of glass every once in a while, and that was at least 20 some years ago. lol

Sorry to hear of the ongoing pains and the family illin', sarah. Organic pineapple juice, along with increased vitamin c and zinc, helped soothe our coughs and stuff last time we had a bad cold, and fresh ginger root under the tongue (make sure it's cut small enough not to prompt a gag response) helps me big time with nausea. May everyone feel better soon.

Re: The what's bothering you RIGHT NOW thread Part III

The "raw food is the best thing for your pets and if you don't feed your pets raw food you're a cruel "mum" or "dad" to them brigade are out in full force on youtube at the moment.

Tigger doesn't even know that meat is edible (tried her on it, her response is "what the heck is that" and plays football with it round the floor) and Ebony's tummy gets upset way too quickly when there's new food around. I admit so far I've only tried them on cooked meat but I don't want them to get anything nasty from the raw food. Wish people would stop with the "you're a bad pet parent unless you feed them this or that" thing. Sighs.

Mr. Max the chihuahua has a sensitive tummy as well. We've found one
canned food that he likes that doesn't cause problems, and fortunately
Murphy and Kiko will also eat it, so "blehhh" on the people who think their
way is the only way.

What's upsetting me about it is one of the people on youtube claims to be a vet and he put a youtube video up as a response to the BBC's recent television series about animals and one of the topics the BBC covered was about raw feeding and now youtube is full of "if you don't feed your pets raw meat you're an unhygienic bad pet parent and should never be allowed to own pets and you should be forced to feed them raw meat because that's what they'd eat if they were in the wild" brigade ........

Wondering if I should post on that video pointing out that not all cats or dogs can eat raw food or want to eat raw food.

I suppose raw meat is what wild animals like wolves and lions eat, but our
domesticated dogs and cats are so far from those ancestors it can't be the same.

Dog food tv ads here lately are saying that different breeds of dogs need
different kinds of food because they process the food differently.

No one can agree. You can't please everyone. I would just ignore those FB
people like I ignore the tv ads.

I can't stop going round and round with it because yes they'd eat raw food in the wild but how do we know raw food for cats and dogs won't make them really poorly?

<<<<<<<<<<<<<< bad cat "mum" even having these thoughts

I don't think it matters that much what pets eat. In earlier tomes dogs just ate the leftovers from what their owners ate. That also can be seen in the 17th century picture by Jan Steen. Im not sure about cat.

But wait, it got better. As I am pulling out of the doctors parking lot I get a call....from the other daughter's school. Ear ache. So I drive the first daughter 25 min to home stopping at the pharmacy, then go pick up second daughter and bring her back to the same doctor and its an ear infection! Same 25 minute ride home and same pit stop at the pharmacy.
4 times today I had 25 minute rides. 2 trips to the pharmacy and all those calls I needed to make have now been put off until the late afternoon when most businesses are getting ready to close. I hate days like this.
