Long Term Side Effects From Adderall Won't Go Away

I was taking adderall for about 6 months starting about a year ago, and was getting awful side effects like headaches, dizziness, and nausea. I stopped taking it back in December, but these side effects haven't gone away since then. They kind of come and go randomly and have been keeping me from functioning normally at work or social events. I get this feeling of being really dizzy or sometimes vertigo, my brain also feels really foggy and it's hard to focus on what I'm doing or what someone is saying, and it almost feel like I'm floating, or like my brain is floating (which I know sounds weird but I don't know how else to describe it). I also sometimes get awful headaches and more nausea.

This has been happening for like 8 months and I have no idea how to stop these episodes or make them better, does anyone have any experience with this at all after taking adderall? I'm scared that I did some permanent brain damage somehow because of the meds. I have no idea what to do to feel better.

You need to see a doctor. These are not symptoms or side effects of adderall.

I second that it’s not the Adderall. The Adderall would be long out of your system...

Re: Long Term Side Effects From Adderall Won't Go Away

While those can be side effects of Adderall, I agree with Brandy that there
should not be any side effects after 8 months.

Those sound very much like symptoms of Migraine disorder.

I inherited Migraine disorder from my father, as did my sister and brother.
I passed it on to my daughter and both my granddaughters. My niece also
has it.

Not everyone inherits it though. Please ask your doctor about this possibility.
