In that case I may go ahead with what I was thinking of doing, closing that part of the notification so that I don't see the anonymous messages, and not sending any either. I just cannot approve of anonymous messaging.

Re: Rep Power

Oh yeah, huh!

Lunacie, if you opt out of rep (tho I didn't know we could do that) then I can't give you anymore positive rep points! I promise to let you know it was me! I have really appreciated your input in the misc section.

Re: Rep Power

I think I thanked everyone. Thank you for having a real discussion about why this can be a problem for some of us, and looking into ways to make this work better. I do enjoy getting reputation and learning from it or just feeling good about a pat on the back, but it just seems more valuable when I know who is giving the reputation.

Re: Rep Power

I would just like to acknowledge the rep points I have received from some thoughtful people on this thread. Thank you.

I agree, Andrew... you have to take the good with the bad!!! That's an incentive to improve?? Right?

Re: Rep Power

Good idea, I noticed some have given their name... when giving me rep points. (If good ones). I don't blame anyone for not putting their name/username when giving "bad" or negative ones. But it would be good if they would say why!

I'm still learning, here...

I know now, I should have read the "instructions" first.

Re: Rep Power

I just noticed there is a "posted by" feature on the rep section, so you can see who left the comment. It's not now anonymous! I LIKE that! Thank you Andrew et al.
