New around these parts!

I'm new around here and wanted to introduce myself, let's see if I can pull it off without rambling.

Soo... Hello ADDForums! I am 31 years old and I live in Finland. I'm an experienced space cadet and really looking forward to changing to a more fruitful career. At the moment I don't even have a high school degree because I simply cannot focus in class or while reading even slightly boring things, I have tried and failed numerous times. I was always told I'm lazy, disruptive and not applying myself and all the other things I'm sure all of you have heard before.

I'm currently undergoing the process of being diagnosed, which from what I understand can be fairly long and drawn out over here. However, a preliminary test performed by a doctor who was not allowed to give a more specific diagnosis shows that either ADHD-PI or ADHD-C is very likely. He gave me a F90.9 (Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, unspecified type) diagnosis and referred me to a neurologist. So hopefully I can get my official diagnosis this year still!

Looking forward to meeting some fellow space explorers!

- Kitty

Welcome to The Forums.

I’m half Finnish myself, though I have never been there. Okay, I’m a mutt.

Best to You,
Ian

Thank you! So you're half Finnish and a Minnesotan? You must really like hockey... Right?

Nope, but for sure, I don’t say that too loudly around here.

Cheers,
Ian
