No Halloween, but Fastelavn

Here in Denmark Halloween is not a common tradition.
In stead we have Fastelavn: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnival_in_Denmark

But your Halloween traditions seems so very nice!

Tell me how you celebrate - And pictures please

Re: No Halloween, but Fastelavn

We have Julebukk here in Norway, or used to have. It's a bit like halloween. http://mylittlenorway.com/norwegian-christmas/julebukk/

I've only done it twice in my life. But I will take my kids Trick or treat this year as I did last year too. But I'm not so found of the Norwegian version of Halloween were you're supposed to look the ugliest as you can. So for now I deside what my children is going to wear, and they are going to dress like matching cute vamires. In some Christian societies do they have HalloVenn (HalloFriend) were they don't go trick or treat, but have games were the kids can win candy.
