My Favorite Commercial

Over the years there have been so many. Concepts that make you wonder what genius came up with this idea to sell a product. There are times I wish they had an awards show for best commercial of the year. I like the mayhem guy for Allstate and the couple asking people if they want to Sling TV but right now I think the best commercial on TV is for State Farm. Multiple rear end accident in a tunnel as a helium truck is overturned. Guy is talking to his State Farm agent and then slowly his voice goes high pitched...ahhhhhh...it's the helium. Too freaking funny. Would love to know who comes up with this stuff.

I rarely watch telly, and the few programmes I do watch sometimes, I tend to do something else when the advert break is on

Re: My Favorite Commercial

There are times you miss some truly funny stuff when you skip the commercials. I normally only watch a couple of hours of tv. Something to shut my brain off and holy smokes...totally funny.

Here's another one you might want to look up Psycho...Woman is sitting on the bed talking to her daughter eating an Aldi grocery store chip and is telling her how you can take things back if you're not satisfied. They pan to the girls foot and she has a home tattoo of her current boyfriend with his name. And the girl says, I guess you want to take me back. Mom laughs, "you didn't come from Aldi but I'm sure you'll love Kevin forever."

I miss shopping at Aldi's, but they don't have electric shopping carts.

there was one for taco bell that I loved:
this guy is on playstation or something like that, friend shows up with taco bell and he drops everything - at the end, it shows the character from his game stuck in this squatting position and he says "wrong button, buddy, wrong button..."

this one in france:

Re: My Favorite Commercial

Were there any good ones for the superbowl this year?
I watched it over here, and they either went back to the studio or showed highlights from the playoffs during most of the US commercial breaks.

It was not a great year for Super Bowl ads.

A lot of inexplicable robots.

Bud Light Knight put in a lot of appearances.

Google had a "tugging at the heartstrings" ad about translation.

One good football-throwback ad.

Mostly forgettable, though.

Oh, yeah, the Pringles one wasn't bad.

The football throwback one was for...I totally don't remember. It wasn't that one, though. Must not have been great on the branding! Unless it was generically for the NFL....maybe? Involved a banquet hall and lots of famous players/plays from different eras.

I don't remember seeing this one. lol I must've tuned it out (haha I do that a LOT when watching things)...I don't follow football so don't know any of the guys in the commercial >.<;

This one?

lol I like the end where the big football player's all like "Can I have the ball please?" and the woman's all like "You want this? Come and get it!!" haha...bad a**!
