This forum has given me light when there was none...

Dear ADD Forum and viewing guests,

I don't know if this is the appropirate place to post this, but here goes. Ever Since I found this website and signed up I finally have some hope and relief from the horrible effects of the depression and hopelessness feelings from the withdrawal I'm feeling from abusing Adderall for years and quitting cold turkey (not a smart move by me but it's almost been a month now so can't change that)
I am writing this because the information and support I have received thus far has relieved so much of my crippling and debilitating anxiety and depression. Just having the forums to vent, educate, research, or relate to is my therapy and new best friend. Because of this I am finding that I am feeling more optimistic and not crying all day long anymore. Before I had only a dark abyss of no hope.
So, if there is anyone out there as scared like I was (and still am) listen to me when I say this to you "Sign up and start typing if you are scared and feel hopeless". I think the fact this is free and accessable 24 hours has probably saved many peoples lives. Thank you for this.

If your hurting do what I did and just begin no matter how tired or depressed you are. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and this will let me find it. . This will be better that any pill in the world and won't leave your system with cause horrific withdrawals.

Thank you again everyone, expect to be seeing me around cause for as long as it take you are going to be my lifeline...One day I hope to tell my stories as a survivor to people who are going through what I am. I am holding on this belief with everything I have.

This is such a great thing to read! I am so glad that this forum has been able to provide that kind of hope and comfort for you in your time of need. I am also glad to hear about your success so far in quitting Adderall. You are clearly a strong person and I can only imagine that you will continue to do great things! I hope that you think to post them here so that we can all cheer you on.

I'm so glad you are feeling better And I'm glad you posted this to give thanks.....and to give help.

I believe there is something incredibly powerful in helping people, you always get something in return. I don't mean just support from other people, the act itself is therapeutic.

Crawling through the depths of hell and living to talk about it is a precious commodity.

Take care of yourself and hope to see you around
