Re: BBC ADHD and Martial Arts Documentary

ill describe the story for those who cant see it.

* BBC logo appears
* Kids playing in a playground
* One kid, the camera pans in close hes got adhd and is throwing the other kids around. Mommies are unhappy
* Mom solo interview. She says her son has always been hyper.
* Son solo interview, incoherent rambling, camera pans back to mother.

Part 2 soon to come.

MoonWorm is on a distinguished road
Re: BBC ADHD and Martial Arts Documentary

I didn't see the very beginning of this but I stumbled upon it after flicking through the channels and stopped as I heard ADHD mentioned.

Was a good documentary about a guy who was going down the road of criminality untill he found Judo. The guy was really sweet and I really felt for him when he was frustrated about losing a Judo competition. He was a really good Judoist but you could tell his ADHD held him back, that is until he could focus then he literally wiped the floor with the competition.

Turns out he made it onto the the Olympic Judo Team but he lost his first match this morning. Sad ending and you just know its going to hit him hard.

I related a lot to this guy, I myself train in Aikido and like him I find that martial arts is a great way to keep ADD in check and to boost my self esteem.

Re: BBC ADHD and Martial Arts Documentary

I would love to see this. I wouldnt mind training martial arts but time is a huge issue for me. I don't have a lot of free time at the momentThinking about working up to this though. Looks like fun
