You may want to look into DSPD. Our symptoms sound very similar. Iím fairly certain itís the cause of my sleep issues but only from a self diagnosis. I need to find a professional for help with this.

DSPS 13x More Common in ADHD than Matched Controls?

This article reports that in their study 26% of the ADHD group exhibited Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome compared with 2% of the controls:

European College of Neuropsychopharmacology Thinks Majority of ADHD Sleep Disordered

I still haven't found the published research on the 75% figure (of ADHD'ers affected by sleep disorders), but this 2017 press release by the above ECNP lays out the many different indications that sleep disorders are at least a factor in the majority of ADHD cases:

We can probably expect to see quite a bit of research coming out of Netherlands, France and Germany on this.
