What music makes you feel at ease?

I always perform better if I listen to music without lyrics and which has a high tempo.

I can really go deep when I am listening too trance music, my leg starts jigging really fast but I feel sooo at ease and relaxed just listening and getting lost in it and it really helps my focus.

I listen to other lyricless music too such as classical and orchestral and although I find them relaxing they dont have the same effect regarding my focus.

What music really helps you out?

Re: What music makes you feel at ease?

I like instruments a lot, especially string instruments. My favourite one would be the guitar. But I can also enjoy music with the flute or piano a lot.

However, I feel more comfortable around hard rock/(heavy) metal than any other type of music. Relaxed music with a piano can be nice when I just want to relax. The sound of a sitar also gives me a nice, fuzzy feeling.

However, I cannot and will not listen to repetitive music. It drives me insane. Repetitive songs also have the tendency to produce a migraine and forcing those migraines onto me.

Re: What music makes you feel at ease?

My animal feels right at home with house, trance, breakbeat—the 4x4 stuff. There's something of a heartbeat in the rhythm and the head seems to attenuate to the pulse of it.

Then I throw on some Decapitated and jump up and down on the bed.

Re: What music makes you feel at ease?

Classical, Mozart and Haydn in particular (Love Beethoven and Wagner but for a more intense experience

but lately I have been digging folk music with female vocals - Here is a recent one that has been blowing my mind (give it a minuite to get going) can decide between live or studio so I posted both

ps - my favorite band is Celtic Frost (and its ofshoot Triptykon), but it doesn't really put me at ease
