Pycnogenol helps ADHD
Its a very strong antioxidant. Antioxidants get rid of "free radicals" and other bad stuff that destroys neuotransmitters (which we lack).
try it. It really helps...at least for me http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10400457 http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16699814 |

I thought it was expensive though. What dose are you using and what cost?

Re: Pycnogenol helps ADHD
I've used 60 mg daily for 15 days. I didn't feel any difference as positive or negative. It didn't help me.

Randomized Double-Blind Trial of Pycnogenol on ADHD in Progress
According to this report (also cited elsewhere) there is now a Dutch investigation of Pycnogenol for ADHD (compared with methylphenidate and placebo) in progress: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5370458/
I gather they are proposing to start patients in the Pycnogenol arm at 20mg and titrate up up 1mg per kg body weight (so depending on your size, 60mg could be a little light). The test period runs for 10 weeks. The secondary outcome measures are exceptionally broad and detailed. Whatever the results this is shaping up to be a very informative study. |
