Helpful books . . . . .

1. Learning Outside the Lines

From two Ivy League students with ADHD, this book is an inspiration as well as a practical guide. Study skills are explained in manageable chunks so they are easily implemented. Also included are ideas for organization and test taking.

2. Learning How to Learn

by Joyanne Cobb

This step by step guide starts with looking for a college that is right for you, and goes through to how to study in college. It is written for those that have learning difficulties and provides information on accomodations and learning to advocate for yourself.

3. Survival Guide for College Students With Add or Ld

by Kathleen Nadeau
A short book with information on choosing a college, campus and community resources, and self-help tips.

4. Peterson's Colleges

This is a directory of schools with information on their special services or programs for Learning Disabled and ADHD.

*******if you do read one (or 2 or all 4) please let us know what you thoughts are regarding them!!

Re: Helpful books . . . . .

My wife just ordered me a book: "Scattered Minds". Not sure of the author. I'll let you know how it is if I can ever make my way through it as soon as it gets here.

Not sure if it has ANYthing to do with school or anything, but a good book is a good book.

Re: Helpful books . . . . .

ooo theres a couple really good ones i read recently, cuz im doing a project on add for school (the teacher seems to think that i can do it better then others cuz i have add, and she is soooooo rong...) anyways, theres 'A bird's-eye view to life withh add and adhd by chris A. zeigler dendy and Alex Zeigler, alex zeigler also have add, and the other ones his mom, so thats great. and theres also the Da Vinci Method, by garret loporto. thats a reli great book, but it can get boring, but it made me realize, WE ARE NOT RETARDS, WE ARE DA VINCI!!!!!
